Hoax Alert: Blood Moon Did NOT Spark Bloods-Crips Gang War in Compton

Fact Check

Known fake-news website huzlers.com is reporting 22 dead, 31 injured and 33 arrested in Compton because of gang violence caused by the "Blood Moon" last night. None of this is true: Huzlers bills itself as an "urban satirical entertainment website" and regularily posts made-up news. A few weeks ago it reported that rapper Slim Jesus had been killed, which was also not true.

The Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department website has no mention of an increase in arrests or violence last night. To us it seems pretty clear the only thing the "Blood Moon" sparked was an increase in fake news reporting.
