Fact Check: Photo Of Young Zohran Mamdani With Jeffrey Epstein Does NOT Prove He's Epstein's Illegitimate Son -- It's An AI Image AI Made It

Does a real photo of Zohran Mamdani as a child with his mother Nora Nair and Jeffrey Epstein prove the new mayor of New York City is Epstein's illegitimate child? No, that's not true: The image, which includes Ghislaine Maxwell, former President Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, was made with an artificial intelligence tool. It originated on a parody account on X that posts fake images.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) shared by the @realAlexJones X account on February 1, 2026. A video narrated by Alex Jones that featured the fake image was under a caption that read:

Global Bombshell! The Internet Has Exploded As Newly Released Epstein Files Directly Connect NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani And His Mother To Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Ghislaine Maxwell And Others.

Now a major investigation has been launched into reports that Mamdani may be the illegitimate son of Epstein who was known to be carrying out secret mass breeding programs to repopulate the Earth with his 'genius mind'

This is what the image used in the video looked like:

This image used by Alex Jones has a DFF watermark, which led us to find the original image in a post (archived here) on the @DumbFckFinder X account:

The @DumbFckFinder X account (archived here) is a parody account that describes itself this way:

Helping free America from DumbFuckery one DumbFuck at a time, Left, Right, we find em all and expose via high quality AI videos and memes. Alt account

The HiveModeration.com AI content detection tool rated the image at 90.1% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.

Visual clues, such as the extra hand coming from behind Maxwell's back on the left, hint that it is an AI image.

The DFF account also shared other versions on the same theme, including a post (archived here) with former President Bill Clinton being held by Epstein in his arms.

Another post (archived here) shared an AI image of Mamdani as a younger child with his mother, Clinton and Epstein.

The attempts to connect Mamdani to Epstein followed the discovery of the mayor's mother, Nair's, name in several emails among the millions of documents from the Epstein files released by the Justice Department on Jan. 30, 2026.

Her name was on emailed invitations and guest lists authored by publicist Peggy Siegal (archived here) for an afterparty at Maxwell's New York home for "Amelia" (archived here), a biopic about American pilot Amelia Earhart directed by Nair.

Lead Stories wrote about those emails here.
