Fact Check: FAKE Video Purportedly From The Epstein Files Claims To Show Trump With Blindfolded Children Not In Files

Is a video of Donald Trump with blindfolded children that claims to have come "out of the Epstein files" real? No, that's not true: There is no record of an image or video showing President Trump with blindfolded children with Jeffrey Epstein. The video is a mashup of footage of Trump and Epstein and children that appears to be AI-generated. There is no evidence that this footage appeared in the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice.

The claim appeared in a March 2, 2026, post on X account @GPX_News (archived here). It opened:

Where are the motherfuckers who love pedophiles to say that the video is fake?

And this is a mild video. They haven't released the worst ones.

This is what the video looked like on X at the time of writing:

The video is captioned, "Es kommen immer mehr Details raus," which is German for "more and more details are emerging" or "more details keep coming out."

The video on X opens with footage of little girls walking with blindfolds and Trump in a white tank top. Lead Stories uploaded the footage to AI detection tools but it did not return a confident determination that the video was AI-generated, which is a known limitation of such tools. However, there are telltale signs of AI generation, including that the children's faces have no distinguishable features. As the girls are walking in a line, one girl appears to turn into three girls -- another sign of AI use. A longer, straightforward version of this clip was posted by Facebook user DrTahirSargana (archived here) on Feb. 10, 2026, and this clip shows the line of girls multiplying from one into several. Here is a screenshot from the video posted on X:

At the 0:06 mark in the video the hand on the arm reaching across the frame appears to have unusually long fingers, another sign of AI, as this screenshot shows:

Here is the video posted on the Facebook account DrTahirSargana:

This video posted on X appears to be of someone filming a screen with an already partially censored video, with a partially visible TikTok watermark. A search for the video found a clear version of it on Facebook (archived here) with the TikTok username MortenSivertsen262. Here is a screenshot of the post:

Here is the version of the video posted on Facebook:

The account @mortensivertsen262 does not appear to exist on TikTok as of publication (archived here). An account with the similar name, MortenSivertsen (archived here) with the same bio photo, does not show the video from X.

Although the videos appear to show archival footage of Trump and Epstein with children, and Epstein with Sean "Diddy" Combs, Epstein's face subtly shifts in shape and is not consistently identifiable -- a common artifact of AI generation.

A search of Google Lens for the image of Trump with the children in blindfolds did not return any legitimate news stories or footage of him with the children. Had video with this content been revealed in the Epstein files, it would have been major news. Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and found other fact checks about similar photos but did not find any legitimate news reports that the Epstein files contained these images or footage.
