Did Donald Trump post an image of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool showing him and Jeffrey Epstein together? No, that's not true: Lead Stories manually reviewed his account on Truth Social for the period between June 1 and June 26, 2026, and found no evidence to support the claim. While images of the pool have been a recurring topic among the presindent's posts, none of those pictures featuring the site showed Epstein.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here and here) published on X by @daviddunn177 on June 12, 2026. It opened:
Donald Trump didn't look close enough at that reflection before posting this.
This is what the image included in the post made on X looked like:

The profile picture in what looked like a screenshot from social media matched the image used by Trump on Truth Social (archived here), and the claim went viral when the renovation of the site was back on the news (archived here).
Lead Stories manually reviewed Trump's posts on that social media platform between June 1 and June 26, 2026. Within this time frame, Trump published images of the pool on several occasions, but none of them showed Epstein.
Most recently, the president uploaded two Reflecting Pool pictures on June 26, 2026, as seen here and here:

Images of the pool also appeared on his account on June 24, June 23, June 21, June 20, June 19, and June 15, 2026. All of these posts were published after the post making the claim:

On the day when the post reviewed in this fact check was published, Trump posted (archived here) images of Reflecting Pool, but none of them showed Epstein:

On June 10, 2026, the president reposted (archived here) an image from the account of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. It also showed Reflecting Pool, but didn't include any portrayals of the convicted sex offender:

On June 4, 2026, Trump published a video (archived here) featuring the pool, but Epstein did not appear in the clip:

On the same day, another image of the pool (archived here) appeared on the president's account, but it still didn't have Epstein in it:

One more image of Reflecting Pool could be found among Trump's posts on June 1, 2026 (archived here), and it still didn't show Epstein.
Lead Stories also manually reviewed the archive of president's posts on Truth Social, but found no image like the one in question.
Had he reposted such a picture intentionally or by mistake, that would have been mentioned on the news, but no such reports could be found on Google News.
