Did American actor Sylvester Stallone say talking to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was "like listening to a high school girl"? No, that's not true: The claim originated from a page with a satire label that specifies everything on it is fictional. No credible media outlets reported the nonexistent story.
The claim appeared in an article (archived here and here) published on X on Aug. 12, 2026, by @ConstitustionX. It read:
🚨🚨 BREAKING: SYLVESTER STALLONE JUST OBLITERATED AOC IN THE MOST BRUTAL TAKEDOWN HOLLYWOOD HAS EVER SEEN 🚨🚨 The Rocky legend is DONE being polite. Stallone revealed that the ten minutes he spent face-to-face with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez felt 'like listening to a high school girl.' His exact words: 'This woman has no clue. Her talking points are childish. Her worldview is jaded. Somebody taught her a long time ago to hate her own country.' He didn't stop. He went for the throat: 'When we elect bartenders with theater degrees... we get AOC. I don't even think she knows what her job description is.' One of the last real tough guys left in Hollywood just said out loud what MILLIONS have been screaming for years. This is pure fire. Share this EVERYWHERE. Let New York hear it from a man who actually built something with his own hands. The gloves are off. The legend has spoken.

The page was part of the "America's Last Line of Defense" network of satire websites run by self-professed liberal troll Christopher Blair from Maine, along with a loose confederation of friends and allies. He runs several websites and Facebook pages with visible satire disclaimers everywhere. They mostly publish made-up stories with headlines specifically created to trigger Republicans, conservatives and evangelical Christians into angrily sharing or commenting on the story on Facebook without actually reading the full article, exposing them to mockery and ridicule by fans of the sites and pages.
Every site in the network has an about page that reads (in part):
Nothing on this page is real.
Articles from Blair's sites frequently get copied by "real" fake news sites that omit the satire disclaimer and other hints the stories are fake.
When fact checkers point this out to the people liking and sharing these copycat stories some of them get mad at the fact checkers instead of directing their anger at the foreign spammers or the liberal satire writers. Others send a polite "thank you" note, which is much appreciated.
An internet search for the keywords "Sylvester Stallone" AND AOC "Like Listening To A High School Girl" didn't produce any relevant results, further suggesting that the post was not credible.
