No, that's not true: A review of Trump's Truth Social account found no record of the post, and there are also no credible reports that he ever shared such an image. The image originated on a Trump-friendly Facebook account.
The claim appeared in a post and image (archived here) by the @glenhouting account on Threads on Aug. 24, 2026. It read:
This was posted by Donald Trump on his social media account.

Lead Stories manually reviewed Trump's Truth Social account for recent posts showing the same image (archived here). Lead Stories also visually searched Trump's Truth (archived here), a website that archives Trump's Truth Social posts. At the time of writing, no matching posts were found.
The American 24/7 logo in the bottom-left corner of the image led Lead Stories to the origin account for the image. The post (archived here) first appeared on the American24/7 account on Facebook on Aug. 23, 2026. It read:
They said America's best days were behind her.

Barefoot, he walked through the water toward the people who were waiting on the other side.
