Are the screenshots showing President Donald Trump confusing election results from Brazil and India in a post real? Yes, that's true: The president first shared a post noting the first round of India's presidential election, which he said took place on Oct. 4, 2026, but no such election took place on that date. Trump later corrected the post to mention Brazil's first round of presidential elections, which was held on Oct. 4, 2026.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @hocuspocusfocusjeep account on the Patriots Win forum on Oct. 4, 2026. It read:
125 Million People voted today in the first round of India's Presidential Election. The results came out shortly after the vote closed, on the SAME DAY! In Detroit, Philadelphia, California, and numerous other U.S. Cities and States, the results, with much smaller numbers, will often take weeks to Rig, I mean, calculate. Voting in America is CORRUPT!!! President DJT

The accuracy of the screenshot of the post in the Patriots Win forum is corroborated by an archived version of the post captured before the president edited the post. The archived post matches the screenshot above, while the updated post on Trump's Truth Social account now shows the revised version with Brazil instead of India (archived here):
