Was the crashed Learjet in Florida piloted by Emily Shelton, who posted on Facebook about flying Lenny Kravitz? No, that's not true: Shelton, who is famous for performing an emergency landing on I-10 in Florida, posted a denial to her TikTok account after the crash. There is no evidence she or Kravitz were on the jet that crashed in Palm Beach on Nov. 1, 2026.
A screenshot of a Facebook post by Shelton appeared in a post on X (archived here) by "Man of the Library" on Nov. 2, 2026. The post read:
Emily Shelton, The young pilot that crashed in Palm Beach Florida today was involved in an emergency landing just a few months ago.
Her final post on Facebook shows that she had singer Lenny Kravitz onboard.
This is what the image in the post looked like:

The text in the image read:
Honored to be flying the one and only Lenny Kravitz from AUS to ELH tomorrow. Looking forward to having him on board!
'It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over' is gonna be playing in the cockpit
Shelton's claim to fame was landing a plane on I-10 in Florida in the summer of 2026, which was widely reported in the media (archived here and here) at the time.
A Google search (archived here) for the text found in the screenshot did return a result linking to a now deleted Facebook post on a Facebook account that was offline at the time of writing.
However, a TikTok account (archived here) that appears to be Shelton's (it references her training as a pilot and the emergency landing) posted the following image (archived here) on its story:

The text in the image read:
I was recently made aware that there are rumors that I was the pilot of the recent crash in Palm Beach. I would like to respectfully clarify I was not.
I ask that people please stop speculating and spreading misinformation on this tragedy and be respectful of those involved.
My heart goes out to all those lost and affected.

At the time of writing, a Google News search (archived here) for stories referencing "Lenny Kravitz" and "plane" returned no results about the singer being involved in the Nov. 1, 2026 crash.
Separately, BocaNewsNow reported (archived here) receiving an email from a representative from Kravitz denying the rumor:
Late Sunday night, a spokesperson for the singer Lenny Kravitz confirmed to BocaNewsNow.com that a growing number of reports that Kravitz was on board are untrue. In an email to BocaNewsNow.com, Carleen Donovan, Kravitz's public relations rep, wrote: 'the reports are untrue and incorrect.'
