Fake News: Young Men Did NOT Rent Yacht, It Did NOT Sink By Excess Of Prostitutes

Did a yacht in Miami sink because the friends who rented it for a bachelor party invited too many prostitutes on board? No, that's not true: the story came from a satirical website, it did not happen for real.

The story appeared in an article published by There Is News on June 17, 2018 titled "Young men rent a yacht and it sinks by excess of prostitutes" (archived here) which opened:

It happened last weekend in Miami city when a group of friends rented an unmanned yacht in the port to celebrate the bachelor party of one of them. Although, they have been established a warning which the maximum weight allowed was nine people on the boat. The young men ignored the warning and they "invited" to the yacht a dozen prostitutes.

The story was just a translation of the original Spanish version of the story, which was set in Valencia:

Sucedía el pasado fin de semana en la ciudad de Valencia cuando un grupo de amigos alquilaba un yate no tripulado en el Puerto para celebrar la despedida de soltero de uno de ellos. Aunque la advertencia era que el máximo permitido en el barco era de nueve personas, los ocho jóvenes hicieron caso omiso e "invitaron" al yate a una docena de prostitutas.

The site There Is News carries a "Legal Warging" (archived here) that reads:
