Is Facebook taking down a picture of Korean War dead being burried again in order to hide President Donald Trump's feat of bringing them back after negotiations with the North Korean government? No, that's not true: the picture actually shows Russian war dead from the Second World War being burried near the Polish border in 2016 and the meme making the claim comes from a Facebook page set up to troll Republicans and Trump supporters into sharing and liking fake news. It is not real.
IT WONT LAST LONG!!!
The caption on the image read:
Facebook is taking down this picture to hide Trump's feat of returning Korean War dead! Share the hell out of it while you still can!
However the photo actually shows Red Army soldiers being reburried in 2016 after their remains were discovered in Germany:
Lebus (dpa) Die sterblichen Überreste von 38 russischen Soldaten sind auf dem Lebuser Soldatenfriedhof nahe der Grenze zu Polen beigesetzt worden. Über 70 Jahre nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges hätten sie nun endlich eine letzte würdige Ruhestätte erhalten, erklärte ein Sprecher des Volksbundes Deutscher Kriegsgräberfürsorge am Donnerstag.
The page that posted the meme carries following disclaimer:
Nothing on this page is real. It is a collection of the satirical whimsies of liberal trolls masquerading as conservatives. You have been warned.
Use the force and the truth shall reveal itself. Just not here. Ever.
Good Old Fashioned Liberal Troll Provided Fantasy presented as comedy to the left and a social experiment to the right. Please don't hurt the Trumpanzees. they'll be gone in a few years back to the shadows from whence they came and we'll be back to trolling Tea Turds.
It is part of the network of sites and pages being run by Christopher Blair, a notorious left-wing troll who tries to discredit less intelligent Republicans and Trump supporterd by goading them into sharing fake news. He has been the subject of criticism in the past because sometimes stories or memes from his sites or pages get picked up by "real" fake news websites that don't carry satire disclaimers.
