Did Danny Antonnuci, the creator of the "Ed, Edd n Eddy" animated comedy series, die of an apparent suicide and did CNN confirm the news? No, that's not true: an unknown joker posted the hoax to a prank generator website using a misleading domain name that pretends to be CBS News, it is not real.

The story originated from an article published on cbsnews.us (not the real cbsnews.com) on September 6, 2018 titled "'Ed, Edd n Eddy' creator Danny Antonucci found dead in apartment aged 61" (archived here) which opened:

Danny Antonucci, the animator, director and producer, died Tuesday moning of an apparent suicide at the age of 61. His death was confirmed to CNN.

Users on social media only saw this title, description and thumbnail and might have thought it was real:

'Ed, Edd n Eddy' creator Danny Antonucci found dead in apartment aged 61

Danny Antonucci, the animator, director and producer, died Tuesday moning of an apparent suicide at the age of 61. His death was confirmed to CNN.

But the actual CNN website makes no mention of the news and the website spreading the hoax has a caption that reads:
