Fake News: Judge Jeanine Pirro Did NOT Take a Job Consulting for the White House

Did Judge Jeanine Pirro takea job consulting for the White House? No, that's not true: the story was made up by a clearly labeled satire website but got copied by several websites anyway and sold as real news. The misspelling of Jeanine Pirro (one "n") in the headline was the first hint the story was not real but it was certainly not the last.

The story originated from an article published by BustaTroll.org (archived here) where it was published under the title "Judge Jeannine Pirro Takes a Job Consulting for the White House". It opened:

Judge Jeannine Pirro may be down from her firing at Fox News, but she's definitely not out. According to White House sources that may or may not be credible, Pirro has already started consulting for the President's legal team. Constitutional mastermind, Rudy Giuliani, told a source:

"Judge Pirro is a talented legal mind. She knows Muslamics and other Islamatites don't belong in our Christian government. The Rules of Congress in the 7th Amendment are clear as day. You can not have a person serve whose religion is so important that it could affect policy. That's just common sense."

The site BustaTroll.org has a clear satire disclaimer in the header and the article was published under the category "Warm Fuzzy Fan Fiction". In addition the site sports an about page that reads:

Bustatroll.org is a subsidiary of the "America's Last Line of Defense" network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery, or as Snopes calls it: Junk News. Because they're too stupid to understand what "satire" means.

About Satire
Before you complain and decide satire is synonymous with "comedy":

sat·ire
ˈsaˌtī(ə)r
noun
The use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

Everything on this website is fiction. It is not a lie and it is not fake news because it is not real. If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined. Any similarities between this site's pure fantasy and actual people, places, and events are purely coincidental and all images should be considered altered and satirical. See above if you're still having an issue with that satire thing.

Despite all this at least three sites copied the story verbatim, without the satire disclaimers:

Pirro was recently suspended by Fox News after a controversy about a remark she made and President Trump has indicated he wants her back on air, but he didn't hire her:
