Above, video of the "Tomato Throwing" Madman

Earlier this week at a Trump rally, a young man threw tomatoes at The Donald. The tomatoes were thrown after the billionaire Republican front-runner called Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders a communist, according to Daily Iowan reporter Brent Griffiths.

The protester was arrested and released on bail. End of story, right? Guess again.

There is currently a story making the rounds, stating that "despite criminal charges being filed against him, he's being hailed a hero by the rest of the nation. So much so, in fact, that President Obama is giving the man who threw the fruit a medal of appreciation."

NOT TRUE. Even though some people would like to award the man a medal, NO SUCH MEDAL will be given. The story goes on to include a NOT TRUE statement by President Obama:

MedalOfGoodness.jpg

"We gather here today to celebrate a man. A man who had the courage to stand up for what he believes in. And while I don't condone violence on any level, we need to recognize the promise we all keep as Americans -- to point out hate where it stands, and no one is a bigger representation of hate than that of Donald Trump. So today we honor this man who threw the tomato. He is a champion of all of America. Thank you, sir. Thank you. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America."

The story obviously comes from site that puts out fake stories, but some people don't read that far in to it. They just like to share the Cray Cray.
